Kerry Pauly, widely known to his friends and family as KP, has a passion for the food and restaurant industry that began before he had his adult teeth.  KP’s exposure to the restaurant business started at an early age from his father Fred Pauly.  The elder Pauly had owned and operated several well-recognized Houston food and beverage concepts in the 1980s and ‘90s: Blue Ribbon Meat Packing Company, Metropol Club, Square Meal Cafe, and Jill’s Blue Note to name a few.

In the late ’90s, KP opened his first venture, Drink Bar, with his best friend.  He opened a second watering hole, Bar Fly shortly after.  Both businesses experienced instant success.

KP’s experience in the hospitality industry expanded in 2006, working under Benjy Levit with Benjy’s, The Classic & Local Foods.  KP developed the skill set required to successfully run a multi-million dollar restaurant concept.  After only two years, Levit promoted KP to Managing Partner as he became an invaluable part of the business.  KP is thrilled to deliver his passion as Founder and CEO of Kerry Pauly Hospitality Group.  As well as overseeing all four Local Foods concepts, he sits on the board of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association.

KP is now opening his own restaurant, a local bistro in the heart of Memorial.
